

On Thursday April 16, 2020, Phillip S. Croy Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather entered Heaven at the age of 74. Phillip was born July 12, 1945 in Shady Spring W.V. to Philip Sr. And Ada Marie (Lilly) Croy. He was married 54 years to his high school sweetheart Patricia (Shrewsberry). They raised 2 beautiful daughters, Phyllis (Stefan) Baumgartner and Paula, who was taken much too soon due to a drunk driver. Because of this, Phillip became a strong advocate for M.A.D.D., earning him a Presidential Award from G.W. Bush for all his volunteer work. Phillip was a retiree from PPG Cleveland\Strongsville Manufacturing Plants where he worked 37 years. After retirement he moved to Florida for 17 1/2 years and dearly loved every minute before returning to Ohio. He had a passion for Christ. He was always willing to share the Salvation Message of his personal Lord and Savior. He was a member of Cleveland Baptist Church for 35 years where he gladly served as an usher, Sunday School teacher, church bus driver, Deacon and baptismal instructor. Phillip loved fishing and telling grand stories. He loved collecting family history data and listening to Gospel Music and Bluegrass. He had an infectious smile and compassionate spirit. Phillip was preceded in death by both parents, his 3 brothers, Gene, David, John and daughter Paula. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Phyllis along with granddaughter Anna Kovach, grandson Ian Kovach and great grandson Alexander.
