Ann E. Silva

Ann E. (Razulavich) Silva, age 87, formerly of Swansea, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Southpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Raymond Silva.

Born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Bauba) Rossell, she lived in Swansea for over thirty years before moving to Westport in 2008.

A graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1945, she graduated from the Lawrence Beauty Academy in 1946. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a hairdresser for many years while living in Lawrence.

She was a former communicant of St. Dominic’s Church and a former member of the Twins Club in Fall River. She was past president of the Touisset Country Club where she was a member of the Women’s Golf Association. An avid swimmer she belonged to the YMCA in Seekonk for over twenty-five years and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by four children: Carol Rekrut and her husband Dennis of Cranston, RI, twins: Raymond E. Silva Jr. and his wife Patricia of Statesboro, GA, Rachael Sarna of Hooksett, NH, Judith Sarna and her husband David of Westport, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Alphonse and John Rossell.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 9:30AM in Blessed Trinity National Church, 1340 Plymouth Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to Beacon Hospice, 182 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial in Newport Memorial Park Cemetery.
