Anne F. Giron

Anne (Fitzpatrick) Giron, age 77, of Barrington, RI passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 15, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Bruce A. Giron, to whom she had been married for 57 years.

She was born in Needham, MA the daughter of the late Francis X. and Martha (Farrow) Fitzpatrick and was a graduate of Mt. Alvernia Academy in Newton, MA and attended Regis College in Weston, MA.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Anne enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an avid reader. She was a member of the National Audubon Society and the National Wildlife Federation.

Surviving in addition to her husband are their four children, Atty. Douglas A. Giron of Barrington, RI, Beth Giron Pendleton and her husband Grey of Juneau, AK, Christopher U. Giron and his wife Wannarat of Juneau, AK and Jennifer G. Bogan and her husband Robert of Fall River; eleven grandchildren: Laura, Joy, Andrew, Kevin, Phai, Chalalin, Matthew, Bridget, Christy, Daniel and Chedi; sister of Grace Frawley of Kittery, ME and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Giron was also the mother of the late Jonathan B. Giron and sister of the late Thomas Fitzpatrick.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10am at Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 1pm to 4pm in the WILBUR-ROMANO FUNERAL HOME 615 Main St., Warren, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 or 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
