

Born in Jeannette, PA, he was a son of the late Gustave H. and Anna (Salsi) Giron. Bruce was a pioneer in the semiconductor business, working many years as an engineer and Senior Sales Manager for Intel Corporation and Nippon Electric Company, among other companies.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he earned his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Pittsburg where he was an accomplished track athlete. He attended the US Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI.
Bruce lived his life to the fullest, put family first, was an avid New England sports fan, and always appreciated a good meal in the company of family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and graduations, visiting his children living in Alaska, traveling abroad, and being an able handyman around the house.
Survivors include his children: Atty. Douglas A. Giron of Barrington, RI; Beth Giron Pendleton and her husband Grey of Juneau, AK; Christopher U. Giron and his wife Wannarat of Juneau, AK; and Jennifer Bogan and her husband Robert of Fall River, MA; his grandchildren: Laura, Joy, Andrew, Kevin, Phai, Chalalin, Matthew, Bridget, Christy, Daniel and Chedi; his great grandchildren: Eleanor and Theodore; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Jonathan B. Giron and brother of the late Robert Giron.
