Daniel E. Pingley

Born in Newport, RI, son of the late Thomas J. and Gertrude (Lambert) Pingley, he was a graduate of B. M. C. Durfee High School and the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and was employed as a defense buyer for Honeywell and Lockheed Martin for twenty six years, retiring in 1999.

Mr. Pingley was a member of the US Marine Corps Reserve for seven years, a recipient of the Marian Medal, member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, very active in Maplewood Youth Baseball, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Marybeth Pingley of Groveland, MA, a son Bradford J. Pingley of Somerset, a sister Noreen A. Pingley of Somerset, a grandson Cole Landon and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pingley was also the brother of the late Stephen M., Thomas J. Jr., Allen, John, Richard, and Robert Pingley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10AM in Holy Name Church 709 Hanover St. Fall River. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River.
