Dorothy B. (Davenport) Zilly, age 96, of Tiverton RI passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her home in Tiverton surrounded by her loving daughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph E. Zilly, former Vice President of Business at Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA.
Born in Fall River, MA on October 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Edna (Brightman) Davenport. She was a 1937 graduate of BMC Durfee High School and attended Colby Junior College. In 1945, she and Ralph were married and raised their daughters in Barrington, RI. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed the seashore at Briggs Beach and gardening.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Woodworth and her husband George of East Lyme, CT and Pamela Zilly and her husband John Schaefer of New York, NY.
Her private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place in Fall River.
