Evelyn C. Wyman

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Dias) Correia, Mrs. Wyman was employed as a Spooler for Quaker Fabrics and various mills in Fall River for many years until her retirement in 1979. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and was proud of her Portuguese heritage.

She is survived by her daughter; Evelyn M. Petit of Fall River, four grandsons; Brian Petit and his wife Christine of N. Scituate, RI, Darryl Petit and his wife Donna of Willington, DE, Sean Petit and his wife Pamela of Fall River and Kris Petit and his wife Mary-Beth of Raynham; seven great-grandchildren; Tiffany, Jessica, Courtney, Sarah, Trinya, Michael and Ian; five great great-grandchildren; Jordan, Ayvah, Ayden, Mason and Tyler; Patricia Kuklewicz of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wyman was also the mother in-law of the late Paul E. Petit and sister of the late Linden Correia, Manuel Correia, Alice Dopart Blais, Filomena Medeiros, Mary Fortney and John Correia.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 9:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMROIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her funeral mass at 11AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be from 9:30 to 10:30AM prior to her mass. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
