Francis D. Connelly Jr., age 70, of Fall River, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Francis D. Connelly Sr. and Mabel M. (Duff) Connelly, he had been a lifelong resident of the city.
He worked in the Construction Industry for many years and was a Machine Operator at the former Chase Leather Company before retiring in 1997. He enjoyed spending time at the Globe Street Fire Station and was an animal lover.
He is survived by his dear friends Joseph Kennedy and his wife Mary of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Viola Wise and nephew of the late Frances Davis.
His Funeral will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River. Visiting hours prior to his service in the Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers contributions in his honor may be made to the Catholic Memorial Home 2446 Highland Ave. Fall River, MA 02720. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
