Born in Fall River the daughter of the late Manuel R. and Maria (Brum) Farias, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
She is survived by her four children, Kimberly Grothe of Fall River, Karen Kershaw of Fall River, Kenneth Kershaw of W. Warwick and Kevin Kershaw of Fall River; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10am from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her funeral mass at 11am in Good Shepherd Parish 1598 South Main St., Fall River.
