

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late William and Bridget (Grant) Hinchcliffe and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Myers was employed as a Payroll and Billing Clerk for United Merchants and also worked at the Newport Naval Station during World War II.
Helen was a 1942 graduate of BMC Durfee High School and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Tiverton and a former communicant of St. William's Church, where she was a member of its’ bowling league for over 30 years. Mrs. Myers was very active in the Catholic Charities Appeal as well as the Voting Polls in Fall River.
She is survived by three children; Donald Myers of Fall River, William Myers of Freetown and Judith Solomon and her husband Harold of Fall River; a brother; William Hinchcliffe of CT; three sisters; Maureen Donahue of Somerset, Eileen Smith of Somerset and Kathleen Burt of Raynham; a son in-law; Michael Perreira, a daughter in-law; Claudia Myers, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her beloved cat Boots, yellow lab Angel and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Myers was the mother of the late Claudia Perreira and Scott Myers.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 9AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE; 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her Funeral Mass at 10A in St. Theresa’s Church; 265 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, RI. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association; 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
