

Born in Fall River, a son of Eleanor A. (Jennings) Botelho of Portsmouth, Rhode Island and the late Joseph T. Botelho Sr., he spent his youth in Fall River and moved to Portsmouth at the age of 11.
A graduate of Bishop Connolly High School, he attended C.C.R.I. and worked at various mills in Woonsocket before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the First Communion Breakfast Club at the Abbey in Portsmouth.
Surviving in addition to his mother, one daughter: Jo-Ann Palmisciano and her husband George of North Providence, two sons; Joseph T. Botelho III of Providence, and Eric J. Botelho and his wife Jenn of Woonsocket, seven grandchildren; Aaron Botelho, Nicholas Fernandes, Tyler and Shane Rainone, Jazmyne, Angel, and Jaelyn Botelho.
His Funeral will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in St. Joseph Church, 1335 North Main Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in his honor can be made to the Catholic Charities Appeal, P.O. Box 1470, Fall River, MA 02722. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
