Kevin L. Griffin

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John and Bernice (Leonard) Griffin and a lifelong resident of the South Coast. Kevin was a graduate of Durfee High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He later worked for many years as a caretaker with the Fall River Water Department.

Kevin loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing Bocce, Baseball, basketball, horseshoes, and pitch. He also enjoyed a good crossword puzzle. The family would like to thank the staff at both Swanbrook Assisted Living in Swansea and Our Lady’s Haven Nursing Center in Fairhaven for the care and kindness they provided to Kevin while in their care.

He is survived by his children, Andrea Griffin and her companion Joey Tennant of Warren, Ohio, Stacie Griffin of Warren, Ohio and Sherri-Lynn Onafrey of Fall River; his grandchildren, Brandon Watts, Javen, Adreianna, Elyza and Zaniyah Griffin; his sister, Janice Haley and her husband Patrick of Swansea and a sister in-law Theresa Griffin of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kerry Griffin and brother of the late Michael and Jeffrey Griffin.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 at 9:00 to 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, MA 02720. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in his honor may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 1 State St. #501, Providence, RI 02908. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
