Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Christensen) Audet, she lived in Westport for many years before returning to Fall River.
She attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and Bristol Community College. She worked as a residential counselor at Blackstone Valley Chapter and a house manager at May Institute Incorporated.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed cooking and taking trips to the casino where she enjoyed playing slots and bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Christensen of Westport, Kerry Dervil of Taunton; three grandchildren, Shannon Tribble of Fall River, Zachary Dervil of Taunton, Brianna Dume of Colorado; one great-grandson, Xavien Tribble; her lifelong friends, Debbie Krulokowski and Elizabeth “Betty” Hanley of Westport, who was a like a second mother to her and her children and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Christensen and grandmother of the late Branden Tribble.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Herren Project, 1061 Fish Rd., Tiverton, RI 02878, www.herrenproject.org. Burial will be private.
