

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Barbara Ann (Jay) Wong and the late Albert T. Wong.
Margaret graduated as valedictorian from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1979. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College and a Master’s degree in Communication from Boston University. She worked as a Bookkeeper for her family’s company, Oriental Chow Mein Co. for many years.
In addition to being highly intelligent and dedicated to the family business, Margaret had many interests. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, grocery shopping and creating a menu, watching cooking and travel shows and was a terrific tennis player in her youth.
Besides her loving mother, Margaret is survived by five siblings, Stanley B. Wong of Boca Raton, FL, Frederick J. Wong, Nelson A. Wong and his wife Lily and Albert A. Wong and his wife Laura all of Fall River and Amy W. Slater and her husband Chris of N. Reading; two nieces, Haley M. Slater and Stacy L. Wong; two nephews, Benjamin A. and Thomas L. Wong and two special cousins, Linda M. Chung and Emily M. Wong.
Due to current occupancy restrictions, her funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers or donation’s, Margaret’s wish was for everyone to be kind to one another. Her arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
