Marjorie "Marge" L. (Wallace) Griffin

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Margaret (Tippen) Wallace, she had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of St Joseph’s School, the former Dominican Academy, class of 1947 and the former Vesper George School of Art in Boston, class of 1951.

Mrs. Griffin was the Art Director of Hamilton Moore and Slater Inc. in New Bedford an advertising firm. Before that she was associated with Ad-A-Day Calendar, Taunton, Echo Newspaper, and Providence and Business Forms in Newtonville.

She has played golf at Touisset Country Club since 1947 until recently. She did have two holes in one within that time.

She is survived by a son, Dr. David W. Griffin D.V.M. of Tega Cay, SC and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Ruth Riley, Claire Wallace, and Marilyn Clark.

Her Funeral will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Morris Animal Foundation,10200 East Girad Avenue Suite B430 Denver, CO 80231. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Fall River.
