

Phireac Kim, “Touch,” age 50, of Fall River, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth unexpectedly. He was the husband of Selena Sar to whom he has been married for over twenty five years.
Born in Cambodia, a son of the late Sopha Kim and El (Khuth) Chhim, he immigrated to the United States in the 1980’s settling in Fall River.
Educated in Cambodia, he attended Bristol Community College, worked as a machine operator at Silverline in Fall River, and was an ESL interpreter for the United Nations. A hard worker, he enjoyed being in the presence of people and laughing. He was well known for his infectious laugh. He enjoyed walking, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with his family and granddaughter Miley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: Sophea Kim, two daughters: Leakna Kim and Melissa Kim, one granddaughter: Miley Kim Yong all of Fall River, three brothers: Puthirith Kim, Mech Kim, Sang-Kream Chey Kim, one sister: Maline Kim all of Cambodia, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Mala Kim.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 8:30 to 9:15AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, followed by his funeral service at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Hope and Memory at Swan Point Crematory, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, Rhode Island. Relatives and friends invited.
