

Romeo M. Gallamoza Sr., age 78, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria (Javier) Gallamoza to whom he has been married for almost 50 years.
Born in San Agustin, Romblon, Philippines, a son of the late Sixto Mangao and Zoila (Mortel) Gallamoza, he came to San Diego, California in 1967 and settled in Fall River in 1969.
A Veteran of the Unites States Navy, he served for 20 years as active duty and retired after 30 years of service as Petty Officer First Class. He worked in the Veterans Administration Hospital and was proud to have served in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and an avid New England sports fan. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, home improvement projects, and automobiles.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five children; Romel Gallamoza and his wife Maria of Bel Air, MD, Romeo Gallamoza Jr. and his wife Mabelline of Bel Air, MD, Rexel Gallamoza of Newark, DE, Rocky Gallamoza and his wife Surapa of Frederick, MD, and Raichel Moreira Gallamoza and her husband Cory of Palm Harbor, FL, one sister; Villa Gallamoza Estanislao of Quezon City, Philippines, eleven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Nelly Gallamoza Manrique, and Sixto “Jon” Gallamoza Jr.
His Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 9:00AM to 12:00NOON with a service at 12NOON in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at Cherry Place 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. His Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10:30AM in St. Margaret’s Church 141 Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, Maryland. Burial with military honors to follow in Highview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fallston, MD.
