Ruth “Ruthie” M. Biltcliffe, age 61, of Fall River, passed away Monday, June 6,2016, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the longtime companion of the late Terry G. Kydd, having shared over 30 years together.
Born in Fall River, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Melnik) Biltcliffe, and sister of the late Anne Duarte.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she went on to graduate from Bristol Community College Culinary School and worked as a cook in the tea room at Tickles Country Store in Swansea. She was an avid cook, loved to read and would volunteer at the Fall River Public Library.
She is survived by; her brother-in-law Michael Duarte of Fall River, sister-in-law Joyce Reed of Fall River, lifelong friend Debi Danner and her husband Richard of Tiverton, as well as several “special” nieces and nephews.
