Sarun Chea, age 86, of Fall River, passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at St. Anne’s Hospital unexpectedly. He was the husband of Banyen (Ong) Chea, to whom he has been married for the past sixty years.
Born and raised in Battambang, Cambodia, he immigrated to the United States in 1984 moving to California for brief period prior to settling in Fall River. While living in Cambodia he worked as a Merchant in the trading industry.
Sarun took great pride in raising his family and caring for his grandchildren.
He is survived by four daughters, Vibol Chea, Samol Chea and her spouse Phala Kuch, Sophia Samrith and her spouse Nuth, Terry Chea; four sons, Bunrith Chea and his spouse Vanna, Nimol Chea, Resith Chea and Vechatkar Chea all of Fall River. He is also survived by many grandchildren, one sister and two nieces. He was the father of the Late Sam Rim.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 8:15 to 9:15AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM Swan Point Crematory in the Chapel of Memory and Hope, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI. Relatives and friends are invited.
