

Thomas J. Farrell, age 54, formerly of Fall River, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 in South Shore Hospital unexpectedly. Born in Fall River, a son of the late John M. Farrell Sr. and Dorothy R. (LaPointe) Farrell, he was resident of Fall River up until moving to the Boston area a few years ago.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, he worked as a painter at A.C.K. Painting and belonged to the painters union DC 35. He was an avid sports fan of all New England teams and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He is survived by three brothers; John M. Farrell Jr. and his wife Ellen of El Paso, TX, Edward K. “Ted” Farrell and his wife Jeri, Kevin M. Farrell all of Berkley, two sisters; Judith A. Souza and Diane D. O’Neil and her husband William all of Fall River, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude place, Memphis, TN 38105.
