

William J. King, Sr., age 84, a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was the husband of the late Madeleine C. (Gagne) King and the former husband of Alice (Garrant) King.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John J. King, Sr. and Catherine (Sullivan) King.
William was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country during the Korean War. He worked as a Machine Operator for Midland Print for 17 years and Arkwright Finishing for 16 years. Later in life he worked in the Housekeeping department at Charlton Memorial Hospital for 3 years and the Fall River Jewish Home for 4 years.
He was a member of the Liberal Club and always enjoyed a couple pops, gambling and playing cards.
William is survived by his children, Brian T. King, Sr. and his wife Lynn of Fall River, William J. King, Jr. of Portland, OR and Pamela Kent of Fall River; step-daughter, Dawn M. Daigle and her husband Rodney of Somerset; 5 grandchildren, Emily and Claire Daigle, Ryan Borges, Sean Kent and Brian T. King, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren, Aedan and Reilly Borges and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by all of his siblings, John, Thomas, and James King, Mary Gagne, Barbara Bruneau, Anna Manchester, Dorothy Abate and Katherine Aguiar.
His Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM in Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St, Fall River. Due to current occupancy restrictions, please be mindful that guests may have to wait outside while others pay their respects. Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
