Yvette I. Dufault Fortin

Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Lucien and Orpha (Guay) Dufault, she was a lifelong city resident. She was a sewing machine operator in the textile industry for thirty years, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Fortin was a communicant of St. Bernadette Parish, enjoyed spending time with her family and playing scrabble.

She is survived by her two daughters Gail Sowersby of Fall River and her former husband Robert and Donna Mangels and her husband Richard of Berkley, MA; a sister Florence Mailloux of Florida, five grandchildren Chad and Kyle Sowersby, Ashleigh Haslam, Ricky and Katelyn Mangels; six great-grandchildren Ava, Olivia, Peyton, Liam, Brayden and Layla and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Armand and Edgar Dufault, Alice Lavallee and Rita West.

Her funeral will take place on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 9AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place 178 Winter St. Fall River followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in St. Bernadette Church 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor can be made to the Somerset Ridge Center Activities Fund 455 Brayton Ave., Somerset, MA 02726.
