"Bickie" as she is called by her friends, passed away on July 31, 2012 with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. After a successful career working for Voice of America in various locations throughout the world, she moved to the DC Metropolitan area to pursue a second 28 year career with the Department of Statistics at The George Washington University. As the matriarch of her family, she was loved and admired by all who had the good fortune of knowing her and will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of poetry, determination, and strong work ethic. Her sacrifices for and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, three brothers and sisters-in-law, four nephews, two nieces, two grand-nephews and one grand-niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 10 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 103 N. Spring St., Falls Church, VA. Interment National Memorial Park.
