

He is survived by his two sons and daughter: Carey, Jr. (Clara) of Olney, Maryland, Glen (Tracy) of Duluth, Georgia, and Lisa Solhjou (Bahram) of Warrenton, Virginia along with his 6 grandchildren, Kyle and Britney Brincefield, Andrew and Allison Brincefield, and Alexandra and Nicholas Solhjou. He is preceded in death by Leatrice Joy, his wife of 73 years, as well as his two sisters and two brothers.
Carey was born on October 16, 1924, in Danville, Virginia and married his lovely wife Joy, on March 19, 1947. Carey and Joy built a life in Washington, D.C and later moved to Clarksville, Maryland where they resided for over 50 years.
The funeral will be held at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA on July 8, 2023. The family will receive friends from 9:00am – 10:15am. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow adjourning to the graveside for internment.

Carey will be laid to rest in National Memorial Park , 7482, Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042.
