Carol Virginia Coats

Carol Virginia Coats, died January 24, 2014, surrounded by her family in Alexandria, Virginia, after a long illness. Carol was the daughter of the late Elmay J. Price Coats of Pennsylvania and late Thomas Spearman Coats of Louisiana. She is survived by her ‘favorite’ brother, Thomas Michael Coats of Springfield, Virginia and sisters, Cathleen Ann & Edward H. Barker, III of Falls Church, Virginia, Janestine May & Barry W. Pedigo of Eustis, Florida, and; Five nephews and nieces – Barry W. Pedigo, Jr. of So. Carolina, Thomas Neal Pedigo of Reston, Virginia, Leigh-Anne M. Pedigo of Eustis, Fla., Jessica Elmay-Joy & Brian Albers of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Trevor Ryan & Karen V. Barker, grandniece Kaylan Ann Barker of Springfield, Virginia. Carol was born October 18, 1957, in Bethesda, Maryland and grew up in both Virginia and Pennsylvania. She was much loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Her funeral Mass will held at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Falls Church, Virginia at 11:00am on September 2, 2014, and she will be interred with her parents in Arlington National Cemetery September 3, 2014 at 10am.
