

Chad William Anderson, 50, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away January 28, 2026. Chad was born on September 17, 1975 in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He grew up in Michigan, Florida, and remained in Alberta, Canada, where he attended Canadian University College. With his incredibly high intellect and insatiable desire to learn, he earned a double-bachelor’s degree in English and History. After graduating in 2000, Chad worked at the Lacombe Historical Society and then as a reporter and photographer for the Lacombe Globe newspaper. In 2004, Chad transferred his love for language, history, and photography to Florida where he became co-owner of a small art gallery near Tampa. In 2006 he continued to employ his writing skills for the remainder of his professional career in Florida and Virginia. He was a Manager, RFP Unit for Mission Square, a non-profit organization. This position reflected his true character; to help people and provide his invaluable writing and leadership skills to many, both within and outside of the organization. There he found purpose, dear friends, and a professional home in Washington, DC.
Chad is survived by his wife, Adrian; his son Soren, his stepson Ethan, his parents, Roger and Kandace; brother, Matthew; sister, Monika and nephew, Harrison.
A Celebration of Chad's life will be held on Monday, February 16th from 11am - 2 pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St. Falls Church, VA 22046
