Charles N. Throneburg

Charles was born in Hickory, North Carolina to Brad and Elva Throneburg on December 13th, 1931. He married his Hickory High School sweetheart Rachel Love Throneburg on June 25th, 1950 in Hickory.

He worked as a field technician for The 3M Company for over 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Air Force for 23 years, and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant.

He was an active member of Columbia Baptist Church where he served as an usher for nearly 50 years.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife Rachel Love Throneburg and his son Mark Steven Throneburg.

Charles is survived by his children Susan Smith and Brian Throneburg, Daughters in Law Bonnie Throneburg and Jennifer Throneburg, sister Wanda Lackey, grandchildren Jenny Walker, Stephanie Throneburg, Brent Throneburg, Jason Smith, Catherine Smith, Wyatt Throneburg, and great grandchildren Austin Vernazza, Evelyn, Grace and Kirstin Walker, and Autumn Smith.

The family of Charles wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Fair Oaks Hospital ICU team of doctors and nurses that provided incredible care in his final days.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 23rd at Columbia Baptist Church, 103 W Columbia St, Falls Church, VA 22046. Burial will follow at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042 Arrangements are by the National Funeral Home.
