After a long and fruitful life, Cynthia M. Baker died peacefully in her sleep at Sunrise Senior Living Center in Falls Church, VA on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Cynthia was born November 16,1922, in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England to Charles Harry and Edith Malsbury Howard. Preceding her in death were daughter Diana Lee Baker, husband Robert Baker and sister Joan Bell.
Cynthia is survived by three children: Sondra Baker Johnson (Larry), Christopher Howard Baker and Curtis Alan Baker. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Robert Johnson, Katherine Patricia Hedrick (Lynn Anthony), Larry Wilson Johnson II (Autumn McCray), James Lewis Johnson (Trisha O’Brien), Michael Baker (Erin Monica), Shannon Baker Denholm (Kevin), and Angelik Baker. Additionally, she was great grandmother to fifteen and great-great grandmother to three.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 between 5 and 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 Broad Street, Falls Church VA 22046. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00PM at The Falls Church Anglican, 6565 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042.
