Has peacefully passed away at 2 a.m., Sunday, 4 December 2011
(corresponding to the 10th of the eleventh month, Year of the Cat)
at Giac Hoang Temple in Washington DC, at age 84
after 62 years of monkhood.
Followers and the public can view His remains in the Main Hall of Giac Hoang Temple from the morning of Wednesday, 7 December 2011, to Saturday, 10 December 2011. The following services held on 7, 8, 9 and 10 December 2011 will include: the Beginning of Mourning Ceremony and Mass in His Honor will be followed by prayer services asking for His Final Liberation and visits going from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
The funeral program on Saturday, 10 December 2011, will be a special one involving: A ceremony of presentation to Buddha will be followed by a ceremony to send off the Deceased Remains to the Funeral Pyre. This last ceremony will be held at the National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042. Telephone number: (703) 560-0019.
