My beautiful and loving wife Debbie passed away prematurely from breast cancer on Saturday September 24th, several weeks after our seventeenth wedding anniversary on September 10th (really our twenty sixth since we dated for nine years as she would often remind me). As family and friends have all shared memories and moments recently I was reminded about that special Debbie smile, a smile I have been so used to, often taken for granted and will surely miss. Debbie’s smile would light up rooms make everyone feel warm, wanted and special. I was thinking about events in our lives when even that smile was somehow exceeded. On our wedding day in 1994, that was the best smile I have ever seen and the happiest day of both of our lives. When our daughter Sarah Nicole was born on January 16th 1997 was the second time I saw that special smile, there is no describing the pride and love she feels for Sarah. The third time I saw that smile was when our second daughter Margaret Elizabeth came home on the Christmas of 1999, Maggie was born four months early on September 26th and this was the best Christmas of our lives. We are all going to miss that special Debbie smile, but take comfort in the fact that God has summoned Debbie to be with her mother Carol, her father in law Saul Goodman and all her family and friends. Debbie is survived by her loving husband Mike, her daughters Sarah and Maggie, her sister Sharon and her husband Jeff Oliver, God Daughter Lauren her sister Megan and their brothers Kyle and Michael, her sister Robin and husband John Rooney and their son Johnny and daughter Christine, her brother Scott and his wife Kelly and their daughter Caitlin and son Austin, her brother-in-law Jeff Goodman and mother-in-law Dorothy Goodman, her father Ray and his wife Del-Rae, her step brothers and sisters Shellie Hollie Eddie and Brian, and her loving pets Sparkle, Honeysuckle, Stella and Daisy.
