

Kathleen was born on February 14, 1927 in Fairfax Station, Virginia. She was a 1944 graduate of Fairfax High School. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 68 years Kenyon W. Davis and her parents Bessie and Norman Fairfax. After meeting Kenyon in 1945 they were married the following June and resided in Centreville where they both remained throughout their lives.
During her adulthood Kathleen was an avid volunteer with the Ladies Auxillary at the Centreville Volunteer Fire Dept, which her husband founded. She tought Sunday school for many years at the Centreville United Methodist Church. She also volunteered with the American Legion Post 177. Kathleen held the highest rank of Senior Region at the Centreville Moose Lodge as well as other ranks throughout her tenure as a member.
She leaves behind two daughters, Shirley Buckley and her husband Buddy of Centreveille, VA and Brenda Jones of Warrenton, VA, three grandchildren, Heidi Sterling and her husband John of Warrenton, VA, Travis Jones and his wife Andrea of Warrenton, VA and Paula Araujo and her husband Joe of Dulles, VA as well as 7 great grandchildren, Cassidy and JJ Sterling, Erin and Ryan Jones and Megan, Tyler and Ashley Araujo.
The visitation will be held Thursday September 29, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at National Memorial Park in Fairfax, VA and the funeral services will be held Friday September 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at National Memorial Park. A repass will be held immediately following burial at the Centreville Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Centreville Volunteer Fire Department in her memory.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her family will miss her the most.
