Edward Bower, of Falls Church VA, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a founding member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Falls Church. Edward is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary F. Bower, children Mary Michael Farr and husband Michael P., Joseph P. Bower and wife Dolores, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Edward W. Bower.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, 7500 St. Philips Court, Falls Church. Internment will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to St. Philip Catholic Church.
