OVERSTREET BAIRD
Formerly of Bedford, VA and longtime resident of Fairfax, VA, passed away on May 17, 2012 at the age of 101 at Fairfax Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Alfred Baird and three brothers, all of Bedford, VA. She is survived by five children, A.C., Eleanor, David, Samuel and Margaret and their spouses; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous loved relatives and friends.
Formerly a nurse in Lynchburg, VA, she traveled with her husband back to his native home of Belfast, Ireland before settling in Fairfax, VA to raise a family. She enjoyed flowers of all kinds, gardening and visiting with friends and family at her home.
The family will receive friends at the EVERLY FUENRAL HOME, 10565 Main St. , Fairfax, VA on Wednesday, May 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
