Everton "Butch" Lee Brothers

On February 5th 2018 the world lost a very loving, generous, and loyal man. Everton Lee Brothers “Butch” passed away too early at the age of 62. He was born on November 3rd 1955 in Arlington, Virginia where he spent the majority of his life. Butch was a die-hard Redskins fan and enjoyed watching games with friends and family. He also loved the game of golf, was a pool shark, and was a multi-sport athlete while growing up, playing semi pro football into his 20’s. More so than anything, he loved his wife Jane. After marrying on September 10th, 1977 they had three wonderful children: Carmen, Brandon, and Dillon. As Butch said a few months ago, “On September 10th 1977, God managed to drop an angel in my life and from that point on everything was better. God also blessed me with three wonderful children. I’ve never been so proud of any three people in my life. They make me proud beyond anything I could ever imagine. I want to take this time out to thank God for the gifts he has given me. I could not be more pleased and happy.”

Butch is survived by his wife Jane Brothers, his children Carmen, Brandon, and Dillon; his mother Phyllis Smith; his sister Mackie Doland; his brother and sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Mack “Rock” Brothers and sister, Sarah Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, Butch asked for donations to be made in his name to The American Diabetes Association

A graveside service will occur Monday, February 12, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042. A reception will occur Monday, February 12, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042. A burial will occur Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.
