Forest Collin Hendley

Died peacefully May 5, 2018 of heart complications at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Forest was born December 9, 1958 to Barbara Malecki Hendley and Benjamin Richard Hendley in Englewood, New Jersey. The family moved back to Maryland where he attended school. After working several years in his family's patent and trademark services firm he joined the Navy and was on active duty during the Desert Storm war. While on duty he was temporarily stationed in Bahrain where he was on-call air-lifted from ship to ship to maintain airplane engines. After discharge he returned to the patent services business, eventually to run it until recently. He enjoyed sailing in the Bay and Caribbean, fishing and vacationing at Sanibel Island. He leaves behind his companion, Minja Chung, his Mother and numerous life-long friends who already miss him. Please join us in celebrating Forest's life on June 16 from 3 to 6 p.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Heart Association or your favorite charity.
