Frances K. Ross

Frances K. Ross (nee Korn), 85, died suddenly on February 9, 2016. Born and raised in Washington, DC. She was the devoted wife of Arthur "Skip" Ross for over 66 years; cherished mother of Howard (Terry), Mark (Diane) and Nancy (Richard Simon); and beloved grandma of Steven (Rachel), Adam and Melisa Ross and Rachel (engaged to Andrew Barron) and Josh Simon. Predeceased by her sister, Rita Michelson and brother, Eugene "Ed" Korn. She also leaves many loving friends and adoring nieces, nephews and cousins. Rehoboth Beach was her happy place. Her legendary brownies brought joy to all those who had the good fortune to taste them. Funeral services will be held at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street N.W., Washington, DC 20016 Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests on Friday after the service and Shiva will be observed at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the residence of Nancy and Rick. Memorial contributions may be made to Children''s National Medical Center or The Children's Inn at NIH.
