Frank James O'Connor

FRANK JAMES O’CONNOR A longtime resident of McLean, VA died Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born December 13, 1928, in Washington, DC to Frank and Jane O’Connor. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Farmer O’Connor, who preceded him in death, for 59 years. They enjoyed traveling the world and spending time in their vacation homes in Virginia Beach, VA and the Turks and Caicos Islands. After the Washington Star ceased operations 1981, Frank built a successful business, Hawaiian Pool and Spa in Alexandria, VA with his wife and son, Frank Jr. who continues to operate the business today. He is survived by his five children, Barbara Carnahan, Emily O'Connor, Frank O'Connor, Jr. and his wife, Robin, Cindy Conlon and her husband, Mike and Suzanne Ellis and her husband, Bradley, all currently residing in Northern, VA; his 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Price, Frank O'Connor III, Robin McConnell, Jennifer Price, Michael Conlon, Robert O'Connor, Amanda Conlon, Samantha Ellis, Kiersten Ellis and Daniel Ellis; and his 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Services to be held at MURPHY'S FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME, 1102 W. Broad St. (Rt. 7) on Monday, August 16, 2021. Visitation will be from 11 to 12, followed by the service at noon. Interment Andrew Chapel Cemetery.
