Frank A. Szumilo

Frank A. Szumilo, Sr (age 86) of Falls Church, VA. passed in peace on Monday, Oct 22, 2018. Beloved husband to Angela (Romanelli, deceased in 2015) of Hazleton PA. Survived by his sons; Frank Szumilo Jr of Stafford, VA, and Anthony Szumilo of Albany CA; grandchildren Christopher, Andrea, Alexander, and Lukas.

Born in West Hazleton, PA in 1932. Received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees (Economics), and moved to Virginia in 1972. Employed as an economist for the US Bureaus of the Census and of Economic Analysis. Served his country in the US Armed Services after World War II in Germany. World traveler and spent many years working abroad. Known for being kind and generous to everyone he knew; a well-loved patriarch of the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Saturday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA. No public viewing is scheduled. However, family will receive friends in the funeral home Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm until the time of service.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a foundation funding research in Myasthenia Gravis.
