He worked for over 50 years as the owner of National Pawnbrokers in Arlington Virginia. In retirement, he enjoyed the warmth and sun that Sarasota, Florida would provide with his wife Linda until the time of her passing.
Gary is survived by his brother Ziggy Chelec; his daughters Lisa Siegel, Andrea Chelec and Stacy Rubinstein; his grandchildren Alex, Ryann, Jake and Madeleine; and numerous other extended family. Gifts in Garfield's memory may be made to Autism Speaks. May Garfield's memory be a deep and abiding blessing to his family and friends, and may his soul be bound in the bond of life eternal.
Graveside service will be held at National Memorial Park on Wednesday January 18th at 11am
