Gary was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Luther and Ethel Beavers on December 11, 1947. He went to school at George Washington High School and T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee.
He married Bonnie C. Moore on February 3, 1973 in Alexandria, Virginia.
Gary worked as a service manager/advisor for 37 years in the automotive business. He served in the Army National Guard of the District of Columbia from May 1970 through May 1976, during the Vietnam War.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gene Beavers; his sister in law, Audrey Beavers, and his nephew, Brian Beavers.
Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years; his children, Darin and Kelly Beavers, and 2 grandchildren, Madison Segar and Dylan Chambliss.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, 22042. Pastor Mark Brady of Park Valley Church, Haymarket, VA will officiate the service.
