Gloria was born in Pilar, Sorsogon, Philippines on December 20, 1928. She married Ildefonso Daguiso Sr. on January 5, 1947. She immigrated to the United States in 1976 where she made Virginia her forever home.
She worked as a chef at the Sleepy Hollow Healthcare Center Nursing Home for 36 years. Her leadership inspired 3 of her daughters to follow in her footsteps and work alongside her at the same nursing home for years to come.
Gloria lived a fulfilling life through her various roles. She excelled at cooking, hosting parties, bowling, sewing, and most importantly taking care of her family. The queen of an immense wonderful family, Gloria is survived by her 8 Children, 19 Grandchildren, and 21 Great Grandchildren. Her long-lasting legacy lives through them. Gloria’s infamous family banana bread recipe will be shared for generations to come! All who knew and loved her dearly will never forget her wit, smile, work ethic, and undying love and care for those part of her life. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Pallbearers will be Mark Embuscado, Edward Ubalde, Reynaldo Daguiso, Christopher Alcala, Reden Cordero, Rommel Daguiso, Michael Daguiso, and Jayarr Gaygay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. Burial to follow at 12:00 PM at National Memorial Park.
