He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 17, 1946 to Rosalie and Joseph Manas. He had a successful career as an Independent Insurance Salesman and business owner. Howard loved the Washington Nationals, Chicago White Sox, his ‘soap opera’ WWE and a great meals with his friends and family.
He had a one of a kind sense of humor and was well loved by all. He was a pillar of the community by actively serving in the Sterling Park Jaycees and the Rotary Club. Howard volunteered annually for the Sterling Park classic car show and the Jerry Lewis Labor day telethon.
He was preceded in death by Pamela Sue Manas, his wife of 38 years. He was a loving father to Jeffrey A. Manas of Wenatchee, WA and Jamie M. Carr of Calabash, NC. Howard was also a proud grandfather to Jacob A. Manas, Jordan E. Van Winkle, Hunter N. Carr and Haleigh N. Carr.
Services for close family and friends will be at National Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16th at 1pm. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
