

Hue was born in Rach Gia, Vietnam to Quang Ha and Trong Thi Vo on August 7, 1948. She went to Catholic school, and received apprenticeship training as a seamstress before opening her own sewing and alterations shop, Phuong My, where she specialized in designing and making Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress). She married Man Minh Huynh on July 7, 1977 in Rach Gia, Vietnam. Man and Hue immigrated to the United States on December 12, 1979.
Hue worked as a seamstress for Big and Tall, and Nordstrom for several years before starting at Neiman Marcus where she worked for 20 years before retiring. Hue was recognized numerous times throughout her career for her technical sewing skills, and for her professionalism and kindness.
Hue was devout in her faith in God, and was involved with the Phuc Hung Baptist church for many years. Her dedication and love to the church and Vietnamese community was only surpassed by her warmth and devotion as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family, and thoughtfulness to her loved ones and friends.
Hue is preceded in death by her parents Quang Ha and Trong Thi Vo, and her brother On Van Ha.
Hue is survived by her husband Man Huynh, her son Lam Nguyen and his wife Thuy Tran, her daughter Phuong Huynh and her wife Jennifer Michalski, her daughter Thu Huynh and her husband David Shaub, her son Tiet Huynh and his wife Andrea Huynh, her brother Thanh Van Ha, her sister Hue An Ha, and her grandchildren Kathy Nguyen, Ronin Shaub, Winter Shaub, and Alaina Huynh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 2, 2023 at National Funeral Home with Pastor Tran Nhut Thang, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park. Arrangements are by National Funeral Home located at 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, phone (703) 560-4400.
