My condolences to Janie's family. May Janie rest in peace.

Janie will be missed.
 She had a personality bigger than life.
I enjoyed spin classes with her at the YMCA. 
And enjoyed seeing them both attend  a performance at the Boykin Center in Wilson.

Janie was a good friend of mine. I met her at the gym and called her my "Zumba sister".  

She was a great humanitarian and was involved with a lot of charity work and will be missed. She was generous, caring, and full of life and personality. I'll definitely miss her.

I got to know Janie through her brother Earl, my best friend and confidant when I grew up in Marlboro. She was like a sister to me as well. When I heard of Janie's passing, a deep feeling of sorrow rose in my heart because she was like an extended member of the Newton family. Our families intertwined and grew close in our own little section or corner of Farmville, namely Marlboro. Please know that she will be sorely missed. Family, I share warm memories of her with you. James and family,

There are no words to fully express the sadness I feel at Janie’s passing. Her enthusiasm for life shone through in all that she did, and her kindness touched countless people—including me. I will always remember the way Janie poured her heart into everything, whether through her devotion to Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church, her leadership in United Methodist Women, her service with the First Responders Meal, or the many other ministries and activities she embraced with such joy and dedication.

I am deeply grateful for the blessing of Janie’s presence in my life and for the care she extended to me when I came to the UMC and to Jarvis Memorial. Her faith, compassion, and love leave a lasting legacy.

James, may God’s grace, peace, strength, and love surround you and your family now and in the days to come.
