Jo Henry Green

Everyone has that one person when they think of family and love. That was Jo. You never wondered if she loved you or if she was genuinely glad to see you. She was kind, loving and had the most precious spirit. Jo worked at both A&P and Giant Food store as a meat wrapper for over 20 years. She loved going to visit her family in Alabama. To her grandchildren, she was known as Nannie. Jo loved watching the birds and squirrels visit her yard. She was a member of Church of Christ. We will miss her terribly, but know she is where she lived her entire life to be. God made her extra special so we know He made her the most beautiful place in heaven.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Green; two daughters Mitzijo Green and Pamela Ausley; two brothers Benny Watson and James Watson; four sisters Helen Glover, Dimple Thornton, Londale Twiddy, and Carlene Kelly; her parents Mary Comer and Neely Watson.

She is survived by two brothers Monty Watson, and Mickey Watson; a sister Gwen Jones; three children Debbie Hensley (Dave Hensley), Charles Green (Desi Green), and Vicki Bender (Phil Bender); seven grandchildren Mitzi Hoeffer, Kristina Ausley, Amber Green, Justin Lilley, Shaun Lilley, Phillip Bender, and Jody Bender; ten great grandchildren Lauren Hoeffer, Jackson Hoeffer, Jessica Hoeffer, Nicholas Newman, Michelle Newman, Dylan Everett, Dean Lilley, Phillip Bender III, Ethan Bender, and David Perrin; One Surviving son in-law; Larry Ausley, two great great grandchildren Jasmine Anderson and Jaelyn Anderson.

A visitation for Jo will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fairfax Church of Christ, 3901 Rugby Rd, Fairfax, VA 22033. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3901 Rugby Rd, Fairfax, VA 22033. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032.
