Joan Walls Mills 74, of Arlington, VA passed away December 24,2011. She was born in Avondale West Virginia on April 22, 1937 Joan Mills graduated from Yaeger High School and received her High School Diploma in 1957. She was survived by Marlene Ann Mills Orren. Stepson Kenneth Lawrence Mills, Sr. and wife Mary Jo. Marlene's Children - Robert Lance, Glenn Orren, Oliver Orren, and Matthew Orren. Kenny's Children- Kenneth L. Mills Jr., Scotty Mills, Holly Mills, and Hailey Mills. Joan is survived by nine great grandchildren - Martha, Palton, Bettie Canellas, and Katherine. She was pre-deceased by Clarice Steele, Betrice Doughty, Herbert Walls, Wanda Mullen, Guy Walls, Kenny Walls and Mary Privett. A visitation will be held Friday December 30, 2011 2:00 p.m - 4:00 pm. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday December 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park.
