Joan B Weber

Joan was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Thelma and Gerald Book on July 22, 1934. She attended New Castle High School. Joan graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio with an RN degree. She married Ralph A. Weber, Jr. on August 18, 1956.

Joan began her nursing career on the staff of Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, where she worked on the pediatric unit. She later served as general secretary for the Cleveland General and St. Luke’s Nurses’ Alumni Association and was honored for her 30 years of service.

Joan was involved in the Cleveland Chapter (Chapter CD) of P.E.O., an organization where women celebrate the advancement of women and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations. She was also a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Weber, Jr., who died in 1998.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lori and Michael Ketcham of Vienna, Virginia; her granddaughter Michelle Wallace of Charlotte, North Carolina; and her great-granddaughter Brooklyn Michelle Wallace.

Memorials may be given to Toys for Tots.

Joan will be buried at Castle View Memorial Gardens in New Castle, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 4, 2022, followed by a memorial service at Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church in Lyndhurst, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
