I give my deepest sympathy to the family.  I know that it has been awhile since your loss. Please forgive my lateness in expressing my sympathy. I only learned of John’s death today through a mutual friend. I am especially sorry I did not know he was in the area as I live in Northern Virginia and could have  visited him while he lived.

"Johnny" Was a great across the street neighbor for many years.  I watched John Nathan grow up until they moved to the Eastern Shore.  We continued to see John when we visited the eastern shore and he would visit in Staunton. He always had  a grin and loved to talk about old times.  I am so very sorry.

My name is Jason Fender.  I lived two doors down from Mr. Anderson in 1980 when he lived in Valley Ridge.  John Nathan and I were good friends.  I remember when his parents took us camping at Douthat state park.  That was the first time I ever went camping and I loved it.  I took my sons camping for their first time recently and shared that story.  I remember when when Mr. Anderson took John Nathan and I fishing in the Jackson River and I caught a really big carp.  I have never caught one bigger since.  I was sad when your family moved away.  I am sad to hear the passing of your dad.  Y'all are good people and I  wish for God's blessings on you during this difficult time.

I was saddened to read of John's passing.As a new sales agent coming to work at Whitman Realty he was very considerate and helpful to this beginner.  I'm sure he'll be missed by all who knew him.

I am saddened to read of John's death in the Eastern Shore News.We taught together and coached at Parksley Middle School, here on the Shore. John and I worked together and socialized together..I will truly miss him!

I am truly saddened at the loss of a school mate, friend, and fraternity brother. Although we had lost touch the past few years, whenever we were together, it was as if we never parted. I will never again have such a friend.

I started working with John at Whitman Realty as an Office Assistant. He always encouraged me to go for my Real Estate license.  We had some good times talking about life in general with lots of laughter in the mix.

Very sad to hear about John's passing.  He was such a considerate and thoughtful person. And did so many kind things for many people, especially for my family!!  We will miss you John!!!

John was a Veteran , a Hall of fame football player at Ferrum College in the Mts.of Virginia. John was a teacher , a Real Estate broker , a Good Fellow
  loved by many of us on the Eastern Shore Of Va. where John chose to live the last 20 yrs.He enjoyed fishing ,friends and the Washington Redskins winning. We will miss the Big Weasel .R.I.P. Johnny.

So sorry to hear that Johnny passed on from this life to our heavenly home.   He will always be a part of our lives .  Thanks for the wonderful memories of life  on Howard Street.
