He is survived by his wife, Betty W. Wheaton, his daughter Sandra J. Martin, and son-in-law, Keith Martin, of Lorton, VA, is son, John Edgar (Bud) Wheaton, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Rebecca, of Stafford, VA. He had four special grandchildren, Brent Martin, Alyssa Martin, Dominik Martin and Noah Wheaton.
Mr. Wheaton attended Dale City Baptist Church. Mr. Wheaton was an employee of Mid-Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co., and Snyder's Lance Inc.
The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge with a Memorial Service at 11am on October 24, 2012. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at National Memorial Park.
