

Joseph was born in Washington, DC on December 17th, 1952 to John and Muriel Lange. He received his education at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, VA. Joe was a plumber for 55 years working for multiple plumbing companies and later going on to run his own company and a variety of other businesses. Alongside being an incredibly talented business owner, Joe was a dedicated husband to Colleen and loving father to his children. He was an avid collector and had a vast collection of vintage items, especially unique knives and sports memorabilia. He also loved country music and enjoyed traveling to Nashville, Tennessee where he attended country music concerts and award shows.
He had a deep connection with God and passed his faith on to his children and grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his father John (Jack) Lange; his mother Muriel Canepi Lange; and his sister Marian Hooper. Joe is survived by his brother John Lange; his wife Colleen Hurney; his former spouse Roxann Holdridge; his children Heather Owens (Shaun), Haley Quintanilla (Jacob), Angela Todd (Antwan), Joseph Lange (Laura), and Skyler Lange (Bruce); his grandchildren Alyssa Rodgers (Hunter), Riley Owens, Gavin Owens, Christopher Rubio, Carma Owens, Ariana Todd, Adrian Todd, Aliyah Todd, Ashton Todd, and Francis Lange; his great grandchildren Lucas Settle, and Ellymay Settle; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046, US, on April 22, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at External Service Location, 905 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA 22046, US, on April 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will be held at External Service Location, 401 N Roosevelt St, Falls Church, VA 22044, US, on April 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
